Brendon Nash to San Antonio and Jason DeSantis to Hamilton. He had 8 points and a + 5 rating in 26 games with Hamilton before the recent reassignment. The 6-3, 210 lb blue liner is twenty-five years old and played four years of NCAA hockey at Cornell. He was originally signed by Montreal as an undrafted free agent on March 30, 2010. He appeared in 75 games for Hamilton during the 2010-11 season as well as two NHL games for the parent club but missed all of last season due to injury.

Tallon said the extent of Sean Bergenheim's injury -- he was hurt on Oct. 2 playing in Finland -- isn't immediately known.

Florida Panthers forward Tomas Kopecky (picture above in Panthers garb) has left Dukla Trencin of Slovakia's Extraliga with an apparent shoulder injury. Kopecky sat out Sunday's game against HK Poprad but returned to action on Tuesday against SHK 37 Piestany. The seriousness of the injury is unknown at this point. Kopecky played four games for the Slovak club, scoring two goals while adding two assists and finishing with a +2 rating .
